چکیده
In this paper, we investigate the translational and rotational motion of the end-effector of a robot under visual feedback from a Þxed camera. We achieve an exponential stability result for the regulation of the end-effector to a desired location and orientation. SpeciÞcally, by utilizing visual information from one Þxed camera, we capture the motion of 4 points located in a Þctitious plane attached to the end-effector of the robot that allows us to set up the control problem for the 6 −DOF motion of the end-effector in Cartesian space. By assuming knowledge of the camera intrinsic parameters, we obtain the rotational motion of the end-effector through a homography decomposition while utilizing the pixel motion of one of the four points to obtain the translation information. The stability of the controller is proven through a Lyapunov-based stability analysis.

In this paper, the 3-dimensional (3D) position and orientation of a camera held by the end-effector of a robot manipulator is regulated to a constant desired position and orientation despite (i) the lack of depth information of the actual or desired camera position from a target, (ii) the lack of a geometric model of the target object, and (iii) uncertainty regarding both the angle and axis of ...

In this paper, we propose a new approach to visionbased robot control, called 2-1/2-D visual servoing, which avoids the respective drawbacks of classical position-based and imagebased visual servoing. Contrary to the position-based visual servoing, our scheme does not need any geometric three-dimensional (3-D) model of the object. Furthermore and contrary to imagebased visual servoing, our appr...

This paper addresses the visual servoing problem of a robot–pendulum in fixed–camera configuration. We present two new visual position controllers supported by a rigorous analysis of local asymptotic stability in agreement with the Lyapunov’s direct method and the LaSalle’s invariance principle. The proposed controllers belong to the family of Transpose Jacobian-based schemes. We also present t...

In this paper, we utilize a Lyapunov-based design approach to construct a visual servoing controller for a robot manipulator that ensures uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB) endeffector position tracking performance despite parametric uncertainty throughout the entire robot/camera system. The UUB end-effector tracking result exploits information from both a fixed camera and a camera-in-hand, alt...
